A few recipes you can make in the comfort of your home that are healthy, refreshing and delicious.

There’s nothing like a cool and refreshing drink to quench your thirst during summer. There are plenty of options out there that you can make in the comfort of your home that are healthy, refreshing and delicious. Check out these four mocktail recipes to try this summer.

1. Lemon mint slushie

Slushies just scream summer. Made of entirely crushed ice, it’s the perfect component for a hot day in the sun. The flavor possibilities are endless but we love a good lemon and mint slushie. The lemon and mint flavor adds a twist to the classic lemonade. Not to mention, it’s a great alternative if you want something refreshing but without too much fizziness. The mint gives the slushie a freshness that really adds to the summer vibes. It takes just three ingredients and a blender so you can make a cool and hydrating slushie in just a few minutes. 2. Lychee mocktail mojito (or cocktail)

Lychee is a perfect fruit to make into summery drinks, one being a delicious lychee mocktail or cocktail if you prefer yours with a kick to it. The lychee even adds some health benefits, such as being rich in iron, vitamin C and antioxidants. It also has a natural sweetness to it and pairs wonderfully with the mint. This recipe is for the mocktail version but you can also swap out the alcohol replacement with white rum. It’s perfect to enjoy relaxing at the pool or beach under the sun or even better, on a tropical island! Find the recipe here.

3. Iced matcha latte

You don’t have to give up your coffee when the weather gets hotter. Just swap out your hot cup of coffee with an iced alternative. If you want to cut down on your coffee, then an iced matcha latte is ideal. While it contains caffeine, it’ll provide energy at a slower pace throughout the day so you won’t feel the coffee-induced energy crash in the afternoon. Matcha also provides health benefits such as boosting brain function and improving heart health. It also adds a beautiful green color to your drinks which just makes them all the more fun to drink. Find the recipe here.

4. Sparkling grapefruit mocktail

Grapefruit is often overlooked for sweeter fruits. However, despite its tart flavor profile, grapefruit is the perfect component for a summer mocktail. It’s high in vitamin C and is also rich in antioxidants, so it benefits the immune system. It’s also beneficial for heart health and helping with high blood pressure and cholesterol. If you want a quick and yummy summery drink, then give this mocktail a go. It doesn’t require a lot of ingredients so you’ll be able to whip this up in just a few minutes. Find the recipe here.
