Lennon Stella is on the map. Whether you know her from her breakout role as the daughter of country music legend Rayna James (Connie Britton) on the hit TV series Nashville or you’re one of her more than 530K Instagram followers, by now you know there’s simply no denying the 19-year-old’s star power.
Before she got her acting start, the Canadian-born teen gained attention as part of the country-pop music duo Lennon & Maisy (with her sister!). She’s come a long way from those country roots, though. Although she’s settled down in the actual city of Nashville, Lennon emerged from her time on the television show as a budding pop singer-songwriter (similar to her character Maddie Conrad)—and she’s got the talent and vulnerability to attract the masses. Lennon signed her first solo deal with RECORDS/Columbia Records this year and, as she gears up for the release of her debut EP, she’s headlining four shows in Nashville, Los Angeles, and New York later this year—all of which have already sold out.
Ahead of her impending take-off, Lennon stopped by the Aaptiv offices to talk all things music industry, social media, and that upcoming EP. Watch the full interview below and then be sure to head to the Aaptiv app for the top workouts we’ve added this week.
