Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) Process
Overview
As part of our commitment to ensuring secure and efficient file transfers, we have implemented a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) process for our clients. This section outlines the setup, access, and usage of the SFTP service, specifically designed for clients to send files containing lists of email addresses.
SFTP Setup and Credentials
- Backend Support Configuration: Our technical team will configure and set up the necessary backend support for the SFTP service.
- Provision of Credentials: Once the setup is complete, we will provide the client with unique username and password credentials. These credentials are to be used exclusively by the client for accessing the SFTP server.
Client Access and Usage
- Client Software: Clients are free to use any SFTP-compatible software of their choice to access the SFTP server. Common examples of such software include FileZilla, WinSCP, and Cyberduck.
- File Transfer: Clients are authorized to send files to the SFTP server. Each file must contain a list of email addresses as specified by the requirements provided by our team. Clients cannot download files from the SFTP server.
Security Measures
- Secure Access: The SFTP service ensures secure file transfer by using SSH (Secure Shell) to encrypt the data being transferred.
- Credential Management: Clients are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their provided credentials. In the event of suspected credential compromise, clients must notify us immediately so that we can take appropriate action, including issuing new credentials.
Support and Assistance
- Technical Support: Our support team is available to assist clients with any issues they may encounter while using the SFTP service. This includes help with initial setup, troubleshooting connection problems, and addressing any security concerns.
