Get excited, Team Aaptiv, because we’re launching a new Kettlebell Conditioning program! Maybe you’re already a pro at using kettlebells and know all about the benefits they can have. Or maybe, you’re looking for a way to spice up your fitness routine—either way Aaptiv’s newest program will have you sweating, smiling, and burning major calories.
The program will span four weeks and contain 16 classes, including a short benchmark workout that you will start and end the program with to measure your progress. Led by Aaptiv Trainers Ackeem Emmons, Mary O., Amanda Butler, and Kenta Seki, you’ll learn how to perform kettlebell exercises with proper form. You’ll also improve functional strength that’s important for everyday life. Plus, once you have the basics down, you can take what you learn in this program with you to your daily workouts! The more you use kettlebells, the more you can combine different movements together into unique and effective compound exercises that burn maximum calories and build functional muscle strength.
The great thing about kettlebells is that they combine strength and cardio in one fluid moment. Plus, due to their unusual shape, you actually have shift your center of gravity when using them, engaging more muscles during your workout in the process. According to Aaptiv Trainer Kenta Seki, “Kettlebell exercises combine strength, cardio, core, and mobility, making it a well-rounded workout. Plus, many of the movements performed with kettlebells incorporate many muscle groups at once, leading to a higher calorie burn than many other forms of exercise.” Plus, he adds, they can be really fun to use!
