Wellness Expert Candice Kumai Shares Her Favorite Low-Calorie Cocktails

Try two zesty cocktails that won't derail your diet.

Summer’s winding down—but it’s far from over! There’s still time to fit in a few more weekend getaways, barbecues, and beach time. That said, if you’re starting to feel a bit weighed down by rosé season and all its sugary glory, it might be time to trade in the summer water for something even lighter. Keep the happy hours going with wellness expert and chef Candice Kumai’s favorite summer cocktails, two light and zesty drinks that won’t derail your diet.

Outfitted with simple, refreshing ingredients like lime juice and simple syrup, both cocktails boast low-calorie and lower-ABV profiles. So, they’re ideal for sipping through the dog days of summer. “All natural foods, nourishing drinks, and overall less sugar in my diet have been incredibly beneficial for me mentally and physically,” Kumai says. “Balancing a social life and healthy lifestyle can be tricky, but it doesn’t have to be hard.” She recommends making cocktails with a cleaner vodka made up of 100 percent real ingredients. Her go-to? Belvedere’s Ginger Zest vodka.

Follow Kumai’s lead and toast the remaining weeks of warmer weather with these two light-as-air cocktails.
